NBC Brings Parents Sanity with Digital Camp for Kids At Home

Many parents are at breaking point… It has been months of at-home work, schooling and entertainment with the family, and the usual summer camp experience isn’t available to get kids outside and away from home for an extended period of time.

To help give kids a camp experience at home this year (and parents a needed sanity break 😉), we at Xfinity and NBC are proud to launch Camp Tonsafun for families across Washington state. According to the American Camp Association, each year more than 14 million children and adults attend camp in the U.S. and Camp Tonsafun is intended to be a resource for customers and their families who may be impacted by the closure of many programs this summer due to COVID-19.

This is a new digital experience for kids to enjoy at home during the day, it includes custom content and summer camp activities led by NBC studio stars from viewer-favorite TV shows that can help keep them active and entertained during the day.

Available on Xfinity X1 and Xfinity Flex, Camp Tonsafun features video lessons and activities spanning arts, sports, cooking, experiments, and adventures geared toward children ages 5-12. Campers can participate using items that they likely already have at home. To access Camp Tonsafun programming, customers can simply say “summer camp” into the Xfinity Voice Remote.
