Earlier today we posted articles about our Year 2 launch of the Comcast Internet Essentials program in Seattle and the rest of the areas we serve in Washington State. To celebrate – and get people connected – We opened a phone bank at a Burien school and invited families to sign up for the low-cost Comcast Internet Essentials program. Above you can enjoy a selection of photographs from the event.
You will see a variety of scenes: people talking about getting connected on the Internet, people who won prizes such as netbook computers, and kids enjoying a balloon artist as well as superstar (or supersponge) SpongeBob Squarepants.
Below, two speakers discuss the importance of the day and of getting people connected on the Internet: Steve Kipp, VP of Communications for Comcast in Washington and Kyle McSlarrow, President of Comcast NBC Universal who was visiting Washington for the event.
