Everyone here at Comcast in Washington State is excited about the news that in the summer of 2012, we’ll be carrying a new regional sports network dedicated to Washington. The many Huskies and Cougars who work here are probably the most excited!
We like how the folks at Comcast’s corporate blog put it:
“We are thrilled to have reached this agreement with the Pac-12 to carry hundreds of live events for fans of the conference and college athletics starting in the summer of 2012. We’re particularly excited about the terrific value this deal will deliver to our customers, including bringing more live local sports on television, more on demand, and the Pac-12’s terrific content online so fans can keep up-to-date on their favorite college teams at home or on the go.
“Comcast already serves as the home for the most live sports on TV and online. With over 550 live events at the outset and over 850 within the next few years, plus the carriage of numerous Pac-12 games on ESPN networks and FOX, Comcast will be the place for Pac-12 fans to watch their favorite team in action.”
