As Seen on Seattle Refined: Comcast Volunteers Make a Difference in Seattle

On July 12, Comcast employees joined thousands of volunteers across Seattle for the 4th Annual One Seattle Day of Service, partnering with YWCA Seattle-King-Snohomish to support women and families facing food and housing insecurity.
The volunteer event, which was featured on Seattle Refined, took place at the YWCA Phillis Wheatley Branch in Seattle’s Central District.
Comcast volunteers assembled backpacks, welcome kits, and food bags, while also painting and organizing community spaces—demonstrating our company’s ongoing commitment to service and the Seattle community.
The One Seattle Day of Service, led by Mayor Bruce Harrell, featured over 1,800 volunteer shifts across 55 citywide projects. Mayor Harrell’s visit to the YWCA site underscored the importance of civic unity ahead of the 2026 World Cup, while YWCA CEO Maria Chavez-Wilcox highlighted the vital role volunteers play in sustaining the organization’s 130-year legacy. Comcast is proud to stand alongside community partners in building a more inclusive and connected Seattle.
