Comcast is connecting a new residential development featuring 260 apartment units in Beacon Hill in front of the Beacon Hill Pacific Medical Center, which includes 25,000 square feet dedicated for senior care facilities and 10,000 square feet allocated for early learning childcare.

The connectivity portion of the project is funded by Comcast and connecting the senior care facilities and early learning childcare center were executed with Comcast’s commitment to create a digital equity network in Washington. According to a recent report from the City of Seattle, more than 8,000 households in Seattle can still not access internet at home, among other concerning statistics, which suggest the digital divide still remains for some residents in Seattle.

“This project merges several of the missions we are on at Comcast, expanding our service, providing connectivity and exceptional customer service, while also promoting digital equity in the community,” said Terry Davis, Senior Director of Government Affairs, Comcast. “We are thrilled to be connecting more people in the Beacon Hill neighborhood.”

Construction is in late stages and the building should be opening shortly.
