On Oct. 31, 700 people attended the Washington State Holocaust Education and Resource Center’s Voices for Humanity Luncheon at the Westin Seattle, generating 30% more money this year for the work of the Center than ever before.

The Holocaust Center‘s mission is to inspire teaching and learning for humanity in the schools and communities of the Pacific Northwest through study of the Holocaust.

This year, Comcast was awarded the 2013 Voices for Humanity Award.

“The Center is enriched by our partnership with Comcast in so many ways. As a member of our Board of Directors and Executive Committee, Comcast Vice President for Government Affairs Janet Turpen offers thoughtful, wise, high-level insight. As a Sponsor and Presenting Partner for our annual luncheon, Comcast | NBCUniversal helps ensure that all donations support the students and teachers we serve.

“Through the lessons of the Holocaust, we teach students in the Pacific Northwest the importance of being engaged citizens and that their choices and actions matter. Your ongoing annual support over 3 years means so much to the Holocaust Center. It is our honor to present the 2013 Voices for Humanity Award to Comcast | NBCUniversal.”  – Dee Simon, Executive Director, Washington State Holocaust Education Resource Center.
