Western WA Comcast customers may be experiencing winter weather related service interruptions – most of which are a result of the loss of commercial power to customer homes and businesses. Combined, Seattle City Light, Puget Sound Energy, Tacoma Power and Snohomish County PUD are reporting more than 116k customers without power. This number has continued to increase throughout the morning as snow accumulations grow and trees give way under its weight.
Other than the loss of commercial power in customer homes and businesses, we are not experiencing any major network issues at this time. We have activated our storm response center and are continually assessing our service area for any plant or network damage. Additionally, we have staged generators should their deployment be required.
