Snowstorm Outage Update 02/06/17 5:25pm

First off, we want to thank our customers for their continued patience. Here is what we can report at this time. Combined Seattle City Light, Puget Sound Energy, Tacoma Power and the Snohomish County PUD are reporting over 83,000 customer outages.  Obviously if you are without power, your Comcast services are out as well.  However even if you do have power, your Comcast service may be impacted by the outages in adjoining or neighboring areas.  The line that provides power to your house may be different from the line providing power to the Comcast plant.

In addition to commercial power outages, we are working quickly to repair downed lines or “drops” – the line from the pole to your house.  Falling trees or their branches are notorious for pulling down not just our lines, but the electrical lines as well.  In these situations, we are not permitted to work on the cable lines until after the power company has come in first to ensure safety.

Both power and Comcast crews have been deployed since yesterday afternoon and are working as quickly as possible to make things right.  We know service disruptions are frustrating and that our inability to provide you with a time frame for restoration, compounds that frustration.  Thank you so very much for your continued patience.
