Comcast Named One of 2019’s Top 50 Civically Engaged Companies

Comcast Cares Day volunteers paint a mural.

Volunteerism and service are ingrained in what we do each and every day at Comcast NBCUniversal. That’s why it’s our pleasure to announce we were named to the Civic 50 2019 by Points of Light, the world’s largest organization dedicated to volunteer service.  The Civic 50 recognizes the 50 most community-minded companies in the United States that have demonstrated leadership in both their investment, as well as their measurable impact in communities.

The dedication of our employees, local partners and like-minded organizations are a big part of our organization being selected for this prestigious award for the fifth straight year! From mobilizing more than 120,000 volunteers in 23 countries during this year’s Comcast Cares Day, to connecting more than 6 million individuals nationwide (260,000+ in WA state) to the power of the internet at home via our low-income Internet Essentials program and supporting WA state non-profits with $6 million in funds and more than 23,000 volunteer hours over the last year alone – we are constantly striving to improve the communities around us.

We are excited to share this news with you as we continue to work together in bettering the communities across our state as we constantly strive to create a strong culture of giving back and supporting the areas where our employees and customers call home.
