federal way damage
A number of parts of Puget Sound suffered storm damage on Tuesday; this is a street scene in Federal Way. In most cases, Comcast services are restored when power comes back up. But our crews follow after power crews to do any needed repairs on Comcast lines and equipment.
As a result of commercial power outages because of yesterday’s windstorm, Comcast is experiencing service interruptions in Washington. Most of the remaining damage is in Bremerton and other parts of Kitsap County, but also remains in some areas we’re working on now with power crrews.  We are actively addressing these issues and regret the inconvenience they may cause.  Additional crews and generators have been deployed. We are coordinating with our power partners and be assured Comcast is operating in an all-hands-on-deck mode in response to this significant weather event.

While not the only factor, most Comcast service outages are resulting from a loss of commercial power.  In most cases when power is restored, Comcast services are restored as well.
bremerton damage
Just one of many scenes like this that Comcast crews worked with early this morning in Kitsap County

Safety is a paramount concern in situations of severe weather. As such, we may have to wait to address certain areas until power crews declare the areas safe.  As soon as they do, we are ready to move in. As you will have seen on the news, in some cases emergency crews have had to clear roads in the Bremerton area to make their repairs. While most of the remaining damage is in the Bremerton area, we are following crews in other areas as well. Yesterday, we were busy in areas as diverse as Puyallup, Everett and Redmond (where some power outages remain).

We thank you, our valued customers,  for your patience and our crews for their dedication to restoring service as soon as possible.
