Each year, we are proud to be able to provide high school graduates here in Washington state with funds to kick-off their college career through the Comcast Leaders and Achievers Scholarship Program. These are some of the best and brightest from across our state who strive to achieve their full potential, who are catalysts for positive change in their communities, who are involved in their schools, and who serve as models for their fellow students.
To date, more than $30 million has been awarded to nearly 28,000 students nationwide through the Comcast Leaders and Achievers Scholarship Program. This year we allocated nearly $100,000 in total funds to 37 total graduating high school seniors statewide.
In addition to the scholarships, this year we’ve also highlighted two students from Tacoma who were exceptional community stewards during their high school career – Peyton Gomez from Covenant High School and Julia Maher of Bellarmine Prep. They both are attending fantastic universities and have their sights set on great careers that will no doubt bring them success, and will allow them to continue to make a difference.
