Wrapping Up Joy: Comcast Volunteers Make Spirits Bright in the Pacific Northwest

The Pacific Northwest might be gray and gloomy this time of year, but the warmth of our Comcast employees is shining brighter than ever! Throughout November, company volunteers turned up the holiday spirit, logging over 1600 volunteer hours to make a difference across Washington and Oregon.

More than 750 volunteers and community members came together to spread cheer, bridge critical gaps in social services, and bring neighbors closer during this magical season. Comcast employees and their families love rolling up their sleeves and diving into the holiday hustle – whether it’s donating, volunteering, or simply sharing joy.

This year, our Comcasters sprinkled generosity everywhere, supporting causes that truly matter, including:

  • Offering warmth, dignity, and hope with more than 1,200 Winter coats, hats, gloves, scarves, warm clothing, toys and more collected at Xfinity Retail Stores and 650 blankets crafted by employees for donation to families in need at Mary’s Place in Seattle, Family Promise in Spokane and Sheltering Silverton in Oregon.
  • Serving up smiles and holiday meals to more than 400 residents and families at Boys and Girls Clubs.
  • Stacking up support for local families by sorting over 50,000 lbs.of food at food banks in Spokane and Kent, Washington, and in Eugene, Salem, and Corvallis, Oregon.
  • From Generosity to Impact: Thanks to the incredible generosity of our employees, we raised $25,600 with matching funds to provide more than $70,000 in donations to local non-profit organizations.

At Comcast, we believe the true value of volunteering isn’t measured in hours or dollars – it’s measured in joy, connection, and the positive impact we create together.

This season of giving reflects what makes the Pacific Northwest so special: a community that cares deeply and acts boldly to make life brighter for everyone.

Here’s to wrapping up joy and sleighing the season of giving – together!
