No Box? No Problem! Xfinity Stream App Rolls Out For Samsung Smart TVs

We’re pleased to announce that starting today, the Xfinity Stream beta app is now available to download on Samsung Smart TVs, providing Xfinity TV customers with even more choice in how they access their cable subscription on the TV without leasing a set-top box.

Featuring a state-of-the-art guide that includes rich graphics, imagery, and personalized recommendations, the beta app will enable customers to watch live, on demand, and DVR programming, as well as local broadcast and Public Educational and Governmental channels, delivered over Comcast’s secure private managed network in the home.

In its beta format, the Xfinity Stream app for Samsung Smart TVs will give customers the ability to download, use and explore the app while Comcast continues to test, improve, enhance and refine the experience to ensure it works smoothly. To enjoy the beta on Samsung Smart TVs, simply navigate to Samsung’s Smart Hub on the TV using the home button on the remote control and download the Xfinity Stream beta app. The app is now available for download on 2017 and 2018 Samsung Smart TVs.

Samsung was a founding member of our Xfinity TV Partner Program (XTPP), which we launched to help expand the range of retail devices customers can use to access their Xfinity TV cable service on smart TVs and IP-connected devices in the home.

While we begin the launch of the Xfinity Stream beta app on Samsung Smart TVs, we are excited for Xfinity customers to try it out and enjoy more choice and flexibility in accessing their Xfinity TV subscription.
