“This Is Us” Stars Discuss Watchathon, Bingewatching and Their Show on Seattle TV News

If you were watching Seattle’s KING TV news this morning on KONG, you saw a couple of TV stars talk not only about their show but Watchathon. Watchathon has in five years become synonymous with bingewatching, which is catching up on a whole lot of TV at one sitting. This year’s Watchathon will run April 3 through 9.

Asked why bingewatching has become so popular, actor Justin Hartley said, “We’re all so busy… and there’s so much great TV out there.”

He was joined during the appearance by actress Chrissy Metz.During the segment, the stars were asked what the plans are for Season 2 of their show. They had to be coy about that, and when they said something about “vampires,” it rather looked like they were kidding!

There will be vampires and pretty much everything else during the actual Watchathon, which this year is going to be bigger than ever in part because we have a new co-star: Netflix. More than 50 networks now participate, and viewers can catch up on all sorts of shows, just to name a few: Billions, Black Sails, House of Cards, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Law and Order: SVU, New Girl, Orange Is the New Black, Quantico, Stranger Things, The Missing, The Walking Dead, and – of course –This Is Us.
