Earlier this week the community celebrated installation of two specific technology centers at both Glover Middle School and Chase Middle School in Spokane.

The centers were part of a $25,000 grant by the Comcast Foundation to make college and career information available to young people.

Among those speaking at the dedication, held at Glover, were students; Spokane Mayor Mary Verner; Ben Stuckart, executive director, Communities in Schools of Spokane County; Travis Shulhauser, principal, Glover Middle School; and Ken Watts, general manager, Comcast in Spokane.

The following video (a longer version) gives you a lot of interesting information about Glover Middle School as well. We’re grateful to all who attended and added to the great energy in the room. Hopefully many hundreds of students will benefit from everything from scholarship information to finding the career they’ll love.
