Comcast Digital Connectors’ Newsmakers segments are showing now

One of the exciting aspects of our Comcast Digital Connectors event – and you couldn’t miss it if you were there – were the Comcast Newsmakers segments we recorded during the event. Bright portable studio lights were switched on and off throughout the morning.

Those Newsmakers segments are now showing On Demand and during CNN Headline News. Here’s your guide to them. We listed people in alphabetical order:

Dr. Dorothy Anderson, President, Tacoma Urban League, talking about the Digital Connectors program and the youth who participated.

Bill Black is the Vice President and Executive Director of the Comcast Foundation. He talked about Comcast’s nationwide commitment to digital literacy and youth leadership.

U.S. Congressman Norm Dicks talked about the importance of teaching youth about technology – which of course is at the core of Digital Connectors – and also discussed Medicare reimbursements and health care.

U.S. Congressman Adam Smith’s segment was filmed right after the event wrapped up, and you can sure hear the excitement in the background. But you can still hear Smith talk about the value of technology education’-“the future of our economy” – and then discuss some regional issues such as the Howard Hanson dam and flooding.
